The hotel Amalfi has offered its warm hospitality since 1972. Located in one of the most ancient of the Italian sea republics, the building is an old, completely restored pasta factory situated in the Truglio quarter and accessible from the main street of Amalfi, Via Lorenzo dAmalfi. Thanks to its long-standing origin, the hotel stands in a cool and dry place in the very centre of the town, only a few meters from the Arab-Norman Cathedral, overlooking the main square from its imposing flight of steps. The hotel is near the beaches and piers to Salerno, Naples, Ischia, Capri and Positano as well as the bus terminals and parking.
Accommodation
The 40 simple but tastefully furnished rooms have WC with shower and hair-dryer, telephone, satellite TV, safety-box, and air conditioning on payment. Some rooms have French balconies with lively coloured geraniums. Baby cots are available (at extra charge) on request and will count as 1 person in the room and not in addition to the maximum occupancy.
Food & Beverage
During the summer season it is possible to have breakfast on the wide terrace. The half board dinner is available at an external restaurant.

In order to make the guests stay as comfortable as possible the hotel offers an American-bar, a TV-room, a terrace, garage (at 100m - with charge), and a lift. The pride of the hotel Amalfi is its typical terrace garden of the Amalfi coast. The aged orange and lemon trees offer their serene freshness, an oasis of relax, where the guests can spend their leisure hours enjoying the delicious fruits served on a plate or as a fruit juice at breakfast.
Useful Information on Distances
Coming from the North, follow the indications for the A3 motorway towards Salerno and exit at Vietri sul Mare. Here you follow the indications for the Amalfitan Coast road SS163. Coming from the South, take the motorway Reggio-Salerno, leave it in Salerno and follow the indications for the SS163 to Amalfi. Arriving in Amalfi, turn towards the main square (Piazza Duomo) and 100 metres to the left you will find the hotel. Distances from: Salerno railway station 25 km, Napoli-Capodichino Airport 80 km, Motorway A/3 Out Vietri sul Mare 20 km, Motorway A/30 Out Salerno 23 km.
